The Odosense Lite is a real-time odour monitor specially developed to monitor bad and foul smells in the ambient atmosphere. The Odosense lite is a compact online odor monitor for peripheral monitoring across odorful sites and activities. The low-cost odor monitor is also used for applications like monitoring in and around wastewater treatment plants, waste management facilities, sewage odor monitoring and effluent water odor monitoring.
Monitoring around wastewater treatment and sewage treatment plants are essential to keep a track of odor dispersion. Thus, it also enables the maintenance crew to take critical actions at the required intervals for e.g spraying neutralizers at odor hotspots, re-churning the treatment process etc.

This Real-time odor monitor can transmit data through various data communication modules like GSM, WiFi, LORA, etc to the Oizom cloud on a real-time basis. Additionally, it has an inbuilt memory backup to ensure no data loss in case of network failure. This ensures the best device uptime. Oizom IoT Terminal – Envizom allows users to visualize data in the form of real-time dashboards. Upon collection on a dense network of data points and integrating weather data, users can also generate odor plumes and odor dispersion heatmaps. Similarly, by integrating data from the Odosense Lite onto 3rd party odor modelling platforms we can enable advanced analytics on the odor levels. Thus, the utilization of odor data extends to various industrial automation applications in an Industrial IoT (IIoT) environment.
